There is one advertising tracker on this site, it is off until you say yes, and everything works the same either way. The rest is what is needed to sign you in and remember your settings.

The short version
Three of the four things below are needed to run the site and are set without asking. The fourth is an advertising tag, it is off until you agree to it, and declining changes nothing about what you can see or do here.
This page says the same thing as §03 of the privacy policy at more length. Where they ever disagree, tell us, because one of them is wrong.
What we set without asking
- Signing you in. When you log in, your browser stores a session token so you stay logged in between pages. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
- Remembering your choices. Small entries in your browser hold things like your theme, your odds format, whether the sidebar is collapsed and what is in your bet slip. These never leave your device and we never read them from our server.
- Counting page views. Our host’s analytics records which pages are visited and roughly where from. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
None of these can be turned off and have the site still work, which is why they are not behind a choice. They are also the only ones we would describe as strictly necessary, and we have not quietly filed the advertising tag under that heading.
What we only set if you agree
Measuring our advertising on X (Twitter), and only if you agree. We advertise on X and we want to know whether those adverts lead to sign-ups.
- If you accept, your browser loads a tag from X, which sets cookies on your device and reports back to X that a page was viewed.
- X is the controller of what it does with that, under its own privacy policy.
- This is the only advertising or cross-site tracker on the site.
- If you decline or simply do not answer, the tag is never loaded and no request is made to X at all. That is tested on every build rather than asserted here.
- Your answer is stored in your browser, so it is per-device, and clearing your browser storage will make us ask again.
What we send from our server
Separately from anything in your browser: when someone buys a subscription we send X a record of that purchase from our server, so X can tell whether its advertising worked.
- It contains a one-way scrambled (SHA-256) form of the email used at checkout, never the address itself.
- Plus the time, and a reference so one purchase is not counted twice.
- It carries no name, no card details, no bankroll figure and nothing about your betting.
Changing your mind
Change your answer at any time in Settings → Data & privacy.
Withdrawing stops us loading the tag and stops any further event being sent. It cannot delete cookies X has already set — those sit on X’s own domain, and only your browser’s site-data controls can clear them.
You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones will sign you out and lose your preferences, but nothing else will break.
Anything else about your data, including how to export or erase it, is in the privacy policy. Questions: privacy@maxedge.live.
